About

A working nursery, not a garden centre

We grow plants in Miami-Dade soil and sell them direct — to homeowners, landscapers and property managers across the county.

Green Nursery LLC is an owner-led plant nursery at 19995 SW 177th Ave, Miami, FL 33187, in the agricultural growing district of southwest Miami-Dade. Run by Pedro Francisco, the nursery grows ornamental, hedging and coastal plants suited to South Florida conditions and sells them direct — with delivery, planting and full installation available across Miami-Dade County.

What “grower-direct” actually means

A retail garden centre does not grow what it sells. It buys from nurseries like ours, holds the stock on a hot parking lot, and adds a margin. By the time a plant reaches a customer it may have spent weeks in conditions no grower would choose.

Buying direct removes both problems. The plant you point at is still in the ground where it was raised, and you are paying for the plant and the labour rather than for shelf space. We have written up what actually changes when you buy from a grower if you want the detail.

Why plants grown here do better here

Miami-Dade is a demanding place to establish a plant. Sandy alkaline soil that holds almost nothing. Sun that punishes anything not built for it. Months of near-daily rain followed by a dry season. Salt air within reach of much of the county.

Stock raised in those conditions is already adapted when it reaches your yard. It is not recovering from a climate change on top of transplant stress.

The four things we do

We keep the offer deliberately narrow: plant sales, delivery, planting and professional installation. Doing four things properly is more useful than doing twelve adequately.

The practical benefit is accountability. When the same company grows the plant, delivers it and puts it in the ground, there is nobody to point at if something goes wrong. That focuses the mind.

How we work

Four things we will not compromise on

Honest fit

If a plant will not work in your spot, we say so and offer something that will. A dead plant costs everyone more than a lost sale.

Grower pricing

Direct from the rows, without the retail chain’s overheads built into every container.

Planted properly

Depth, spacing and backfill decide whether a plant establishes. We treat that as part of the product.

We stay reachable

Owner-led. If something needs attention after installation, you are calling the people who grew and planted it.

Common questions

Straight answers

Who owns Green Nursery?
The nursery is owner-led by Pedro Francisco. You can reach him directly on (786) 283-3401 or at pf575917@gmail.com.
Where is the nursery?
19995 SW 177th Ave, Miami, FL 33187, in southwest Miami-Dade’s agricultural district. Call before visiting — it is a working nursery rather than a retail floor.
Do you sell to the public?
Yes. Homeowners and trade buy from the same rows at grower-direct pricing.
What makes buying from a grower different?
No middleman markup, and the plant has not spent weeks on a retail lot. You also get advice from people who raised the plant rather than from staff reading a tag.
How we work

A working nursery, not a retail lot

Green Nursery LLC is a growing operation in southwest Miami-Dade. The plants sold here are the plants grown here, and that shapes how we work more than anything else.

The distinction matters practically. A retail garden centre buys finished stock from growers, holds it on paved ground, waters it on a general schedule and sells what remains. By the time a plant reaches a customer it may have spent weeks in a container under conditions designed to hold it rather than grow it — becoming progressively more root-bound, and stressed twice before it is ever planted.

Stock lifted from a growing row and delivered the same day has not been through that. It has been under a watering and feeding regime designed for growth, in the soil chemistry and light of the county it is going to live in. The difference shows up in the six weeks after planting, when establishment either happens quickly or does not.

What we grow for

The stock list is built around what actually performs in Miami-Dade rather than what sells well in a photograph. That means a lot of screening and hedging material — clusia, cocoplum, podocarpus, silver buttonwood — because privacy is the most common reason people call. It means heat- and sun-tolerant colour, because the flowering plants that disappoint here are almost always the ones needing conditions this county does not have. And it means salt-tolerant material, because a significant part of the county is close enough to the water for that to matter.

Honest advice, including when it costs us a sale

We would rather tell somebody to fix their drainage before buying plants, or talk them out of an oversized palm that will have to come out in a decade, than sell something that fails. It is not a virtue — it is that replacing failed plants is a worse business than getting it right once, and a customer whose hedge closed properly tells other people.

The same applies to reviews. We do not write our own, and we do not publish testimonials we cannot attribute. What we can point to is the work — see our position on reviews, see the gallery for photographs from the growing rows, or call and ask to come and look at the stock in person.

About us

Questions about the nursery

Where is Green Nursery LLC located?
At 19995 SW 177th Ave, Miami, FL 33187, in southwest Miami-Dade County. Call (786) 283-3401 before visiting so we can have relevant stock pulled and ready.
Do you grow the plants yourselves?
Yes. The stock sold here is grown here, in Miami-Dade soil, sun and seasons. That is why it generally establishes faster than material trucked in and held on a retail lot.
What areas do you serve?
Miami-Dade County — including Homestead, Kendall, Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay, Cutler Bay, Coral Gables, Doral, South Miami and Florida City. See the service areas page for the full list.
Do you work with contractors and property managers?
Yes. Repeat volume orders, consistent grading across runs, and phased delivery matched to a construction programme are a regular part of the work.
Why are there no testimonials on the site?
Because we will not publish reviews we did not receive. If you have worked with us and want to leave one, we would genuinely appreciate it — but we are not going to invent them.
